In collaboration with the vibrant school community and the talented special education students of NYC's Booker T. Washington Public Junior High School, Dr. D. orchestrated transformative creative sessions. These sessions not only introduced the concept of anti-war posters but also guided students in crafting their own powerful artworks, contextualized within the tumultuous backdrop of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
With their unwavering creative fervor, students proudly showcased their masterpieces both within the school premises and on the bustling streets of the city. Some artworks paid homage to existing graphics, while others emerged as brilliant original creations, each a poignant expression of the students' profound insights and unwavering commitment to peace and solidarity. Among the curated selection of works, the collective spirit of resilience and hope resonates, serving as a beacon of light amidst the shadows of conflict. (Selected works)
